The Ambulatory Applications unit works with clinicians and clinical operation owners to develop technology enabled workflows to optimize business and patient care in a safe, compliant, efficient, and fiscally responsible manner. The ambulatory unit is knowledgeable about clinical processes, organizational policies and procedures, and business operations, as well as the functionality of the ambulatory application and the integration points with other internal and external systems. The unit remains up-to-date with and utilizes the most recent technological advancements to optimize the UHealth clinical electronic medical record in support of cutting edge research and academics. They utilize informatics to improve external engagement and patient centric coordination of care among internal and external caregivers as well as patients.
