The Research Intellience & Data Infrastructure fall under the Office of the Vice Provost for Research and Scholarship and we support the UResearch mission through technology solutions across the research spectrum from administrative to clinical research applications, including data informatics & analytics, vendor solutions reviews and implementation, research system interfaces, research mission initiatives and compliance.


Administrative

Research Intelligence & Data Infrastructure provides enterprise systems and tools for research administration, investigators and research teams designed to facilitate government, reporting and regulatory compliance processes. SPIN funding opportunities GENIUS SMART s,  ElementsWeb Animal Ordering and others.

Clinical Trials

Maintenance, support and training for  Velos eResearch Clinical Trials Management System.

Clinical Data Access and Informatic

Access to Clinical Data for research via tools such as URIDENote: To access URide, you must be connected to the UM network via direct connection on campus, SecureCanes Wi-Fi, or VPN (GlobalProtect).

Compliance Systems

Research Intelligence & Data Infrastructure maintains and supports a variety of systems for regulatory compliance and training.  eProst (IRB8), Researcher Disclosure Profile System (DPS), UM Conflict of Interest ( UDisclose),  Clinical Trials.gov compliance.

Collaboration

Advice and best practices for research collaboration.  Pure Research Profiles, Faculty Research Profiles and Research Publications.

Research Data Management

Research Intelligence & Data Infrastructure provides solutions to build case report forms, data surveys and industry standard data instruments via  Velos CTMS and  REDCap.

Online Survey Solutions

Research Intelligence & Data Infrastructure and  UMIT provide support and tools such as  REDCap and  Qualtrics for your survey needs.

Data Registries

Research Intelligence & Data Infrastructure provides data to/from research registries and maintains several custom registries such as the  Genomics Medicine Registry.

The Complion Platform

This is a 21- CFR-11 compliant electronic regulatory binder system. The system establishes standard processes and procedures for accessing a study, which is structured and organized to reflect all essential documents following best practices. At this time, it has been deployed to the Sylvester Comprehensive Cancer Center only. Complion Access request form.
